Relationship With God

Did you know that God wants to talk back to you when you pray?  James 4:8 says, "Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh to you...."  He desires for you to talk to Him like you talk to a good friend.  Every time you spend time in His presence, He wants to share His heart with you.  When I ask my children for a hug, I want a tight squeeze.  My son tells me "Mama, I can hear your heartbeat!"  This is exactly how our Heavenly Father is and much greater.  He loved the world so much that He gave His only Son to redeem the very crowning achievement of His creation -- mankind.  Jesus Christ shed His blood to restore man's ability to commune with God ... one-on-one! 
So where do we begin?  How can we have this kind of relationship with God?  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...," John 1:1,14.  Our relationship with Jesus begins with a relationship with His Word.  Jesus is the Word; we cannot say we know Him if we do not know His Word.  Spend time with Him today, He wants to talk to you personally about your life...His plans are good, plans to prosper you and to give you a future and hope in your final outcome!  Jeremiah 29:11-13
